Now that Thanksgiving is over, its time for the infamous commercialized holiday known as Black Friday.  Black Friday is the time where all of the best sales and deals go out for the day.  There are promotions for discounts on clothes, furniture, toys, games, electronics, books, and other items.  It’s the best time to go Christmas shopping for others as well as for yourself.

But this Black Friday is very special this year in Massachusetts, for it also officially marks one year since recreational cannabis sales began.  Thirty-three dispensaries have opened up in thirty-two municipalities since sales initiated on November 20th, 2018.  What was the total sales since that day?

The final results – almost $400 MILLION in cannabis sales in just ONE year.  One year in sales of cannabis flower, edibles, tinctures, concentrates, topicals, oils, and other popular products.  All of this started from two dispensaries (Insa and NETA) which later blossomed to over thirty legal shops across the state.

And the best part of this PR miracle?  Even MORE dispensaries are set to open in MA within the next year.  More dispensaries mean that figure will increase even HIGHER (weed pun intended) in 2020.

This is amazing news for the cannabis industry.  These numbers alone spell out a great PR miracle that will only shine further with the addition of more recreational dispensaries.  To think that we are still at the beginning of a flourishing industry that is still making waves all across the nation.

That is all for today’s cannabis PR miracle.  About $400 million in sales were generated within one year in MA.  This began from two legal dispensaries, with more opening up over time.  I don’t know what’s more surprising – the amount of sales generated or the number of dispensaries that opened up within one year alone.

At this point, I can definitely say that the cannabis industry has truly exceeded HIGH expectations since 2018.

Tomorrow is officially Thanksgiving, which means more travel plans are underway.  Many people are still traveling all across the country to be with their friends and family for the holiday.  Some are bringing in a turkey while others are bringing in a side dish to go along with the meal.  Whatever the case may be, each item will surely bring out some holiday cheer.

When it comes to traveling, some MA residents are simply riding the rails of the MBTA train.  They will go through the green, red, orange, blue, silver, and even the purple line to reach their destination.  Sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what time the trains arrive at each stop.  But that little problem will be solved very soon.

A new LED map of the MBTA subway network is hitting the shelves this holiday season.  This map is in the form of a desk prop and is lit through LED lighting.  Each light tracks the progress of a different train in the subway.  These tiny maps are equipped with a WiFi chip that taps into the MBTA’s programming data to track the locations of the train in real time.

This makes for a really nifty idea.  Thousands of people take the subways on a daily basis and having this LED map would do wonders for those disgruntled commuters.  It truly can be hard to determine when your next train is coming being that the trains don’t always arrive in on time.  This would make for a great Christmas gift this season to prepare for the commute next year.

Very few LED maps will be available to be purchase, but more are set to be built in the future.  Be sure to get your very own LED map of the MBTA subway this holiday season.

The week of Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times for traveling.  Every year, millions of people travel worldwide to visit their friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving.  People plan their schedule around one of the most popular holidays in the Fall.  One such area people are coming into is Massachusetts.

Conveniently enough, legal cannabis has been booming for over a year.  Ever since cannabis dispensaries decided to become recreational, people from across the world have been visiting Massachusetts to check out some of that Boston bud.  Many dispensaries have been opening up to recreational customers, with more setting up to be available in 2020.

But while customers are able to purchase their cannabis products at the shop, there is also the problem of where they can be legally used.  Public cannabis consumption is still illegal in MA, so there are very few areas where audiences can smoke their joint.

Interestingly enough, there are some places that offer a more 4/20-friendly experience.  Melody’s Place is an 1860 Victorian home in Charlemont, MA.  The home offers four ‘420-friendly’ rooms where guests can smoke cannabis outside on the porch or private deck.  There are three dispensaries that are about an hour drive from the hotel.  These dispensaries include Insa (Easthampton), NETA (Northhampton), and Berkshire Roots (Pittsfield).

Another 4/20-friendly place in Massachusetts is The Stonehedge Hotel & Spa in Tyngsborough.  The Stonehedge Hotel & Spa launched a 420 experience package on April 20th.  The 420 experience package lets guests stay in one of two cannabis-friendly rooms with balconies, get a ‘munchies and hydration kit’, unlimited flatbreads at the hotel restaurant, and more.  All of that is set for $175.  More cannabis-friendly plans are in the works for 2020.

These two ideas are both absolutely genius.  With cannabis businesses on the rise in Massachusetts, various industries are taking advantage of the numerous benefits it has for their businesses.  Offering such things like the 420 experience package helps cater to the modernized audiences that want to enjoy cannabis during their vacation.  It’s a simple yet ingenious strategy to keep guests returning to the hotel.

With the rate of cannabis popularity on the rise, so is the need for places to consume such cannabis products.  Places like The Stonehedge Hotel & Spa are utilizing more modernized techniques to attract both old and new guests alike.  These ideas will help raise HIGHER profits for both The Stonehedge Hotel & Spa as well as Melody’s Place.

Cannabis-friendly hotels are coming to Massachusetts.  Slowly, but surely, more hotels are most definitely coming.
