Snoop Doggy Dogg In Plizzanet Earth


It’s safe to say that Snoop Doggy Dog wears many hats in the entertainment industry – he’s made it big in the rap game, appeared as a cameo in various TV shows in films, dipped his toes into the cannabis business, and he recently identified himself as ‘Snoop Lion’.  His latest project introduces fans to something that the internet community has been rallying for – hosting a nature show.


You heard me right folks, Snoop Dogg is currently hosting his own nature show on YouTube.  The idea sparked after Snoop’s “Plizzanet Earth” video went viral.  Plizzanet Earth was a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live that featured Snoop Dogg narrating video clips of animals in the wild.  Shortly after the segments aired, a petition was created for him to narrate a whole season of Planet Earth.


Over 60,000 fans signed the petition shortly after the concept was created.  After the petition was complete, Snoop Dogg launched his nature program “Planet Snoop” on his YouTube Channel Merry Jane.  The first video was titled “Squirrel vs. Snake”, a 90 second clip involving a squirrel getting into a quarrel with a snake.

Snoop Dogg is a well-respected brand in the entertainment business.  He is also very public about his cannabis use, getting highly involved in the industry.  Last year he created Merry Jane, a digital media business site focusing on news surrounding the cannabis culture.  Merry Jane features a store that gives profits back to pro-cannabis non-profit organizations, selling items such as t-shirts, hats, belts, lighters, and other accessories.


Snoop Dogg is also a minor investor of Eaze, a California-based cannabis delivery start-up that promises all delivery in less than 10 minutes.  He is also the founder of Leafs by Snoop – a mainstream cannabis brand providing flowers, edibles and concentrates for their customers.  His other digital venture is a personal app called Snoopify, a software that allows users to alter photos of Snoop’s face.  The app generated commercial success, raking in $30,000 in weekly sales.


From what we have seen, Snoop Dogg’s brand can be seen everywhere in the world of entertainment.  He is well respected by his fans and he constantly raises his brand awareness through more cameos within television shows or movies.  His comedic PR stunts helped flourish his brand each year and Planet Snoop will help him gain more popularity in the internet realm.
